King Philip Regional High School

201 Franklin Street, Wrentham MA 02093
KING PHILIP HIGH SCHOOL is a 4-year public high school located in Wrentham, Massachusetts that serves the towns of Norfolk, Wrentham, and Plainville Massachusetts. Prior to KPHS, students attend the King Philip Regional Middle School, or King Philip North School, in Norfolk, Massachusetts and each town has its own elementary school system. The area includes attractions such as the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets and the Stony Brook National Wildlife Refuge.
King Philip is part of the Hockomock League, which includes the King Philip Warriors, Attleboro Bombardiers, North Attleboro Red Rocketeers, Franklin Panthers, Mansfield Hornets, Taunton Tigers, Oliver Ames Tigers, Stoughton Black Knights, Sharon Eagles, Canton Bulldogs, Foxboro Warriors, and Milford Hawks; the first six are a part of the Kelley-Rex "Hock Big" subdivision and the second six are a part of the Davenport "Hock Small" subdivision. For Cross Country and Track and Field, regular season dual meets are only amongst teams within each school's subdivision. All teams join together for Hockomock League Championships meets. Taunton and Milford are the most recent additions to the fast-growing and competitive Hockomock League, having been added for the fall of 2012.
King Philip academically is one of the higher performing schools in the state, besting both the national and state standardized test averages. In 2011 over 99% of KP students passed both the English and Mathematics MCAS on their first try. King Philip has many successful programs and activities, such as the Band program (Marching Band is a regular placer at Nationals, Jazz Band frequently is invited to Ellington competition, and the Symphony Band consistently places Gold in MICCA competition), Math League (placed 3rd in playoff meet and qualified for 2013 state meet), and DECA program (consistently sends nearly 100% of participants to State competition and roughly 50 students to International competition). Athletically, King Philip is a state Division II school that competes in the Hockomock League, widely regarded as one of the top leagues in the state. KP Cross Country is in MIAA East Division III (All-State Division I) while both Indoor and Outdoor Track are in MIAA East Division II. In the past few school years, the King Philip Warriors have placed competitively in many area meets:

Over the past 15 years King Philip Cross Country and King Philip Track and Field has captured numerous state and Hockomock League titles, especially in the late 1990s and early 2000. Over the past decade the team has struggled comparatively but still numerous school records and star performers have passed through King Philip High School halls. Throughout the past few years a revival of sorts has spread through the King Philip Athletic program. Additionally, many other King Philip sports teams are competitive in both the Hockomock League and state. Notables include but are not limited to the Boys' Soccer Program, Boys' Football program, Boys' Golf program, Boys' and Girls' Swimming teams, Boys' Basketball program, Girls' Softball program, and Boys' and Girls' Tennis programs.
